Jackie Keys Van Landingham was an American success story. Growing up in a hardscrabble African-American neighborhood in Camden, South Carolina, her parents worked multiple jobs to give their daughter advantages in life that they had never enjoyed. Jackie enrolled in college at Virginia State University, a small public school in Petersburg, VA, where she earned a degree in food marketing, not a normal entre to the world of international espionage.
